Any oil or fuel present in the run-off water is filtered and stored within the Superceptor, likewise, any silt is also filtered and stored, the remaining ‘clean’ water is passed to drainage.
The Superceptor was designed specifically for use in areas where there is the possibility of significant spillage of pollutants such as petrol filling stations, lorry fuelling areas and bulk fuel transfer areas and all of the discharge from the area must be intercepted.
