About us
Automated Environmental Systems, or AES as many of our customers know us, was originally formed back in 2007, at the time Oliver, one of our owners, had identified a gap in the market for the sale of pumps and pumping equipment online and so the company was born.
Jump forward 17 years and we now offer thousands of products to customers across the UK.
The owners of the business, Oliver and Simon, have many years of industry experience between them. Oliver has over 30 years experience in pumps and pumping stations and Simon has over 20 years experience in water technology, in particular, Simon has an in-depth knowledge of swimming pool pumps, filtration and heat pumps.
One particular area of expertise is the supply and manufacture of packaged pumping stations, ranging from small tanks for dealing with surface water to large complex builds for commercial, industrial, building and renovation projects.
We are currently involved with several large projects, previously we have designed and supplied pumping stations for redevelopment and regeneration schemes – including the Olympic Park. No matter how large or small your project, we are more than happy to provide a quote or solution.
Smaller domestic pumping stations are normally available ‘off-the-shelf’ for delivery next working day, delivery times on larger tanks vary according to the specification of the build.

We are able to source a vast range of pumps from most major manufacturers, catering for every need, from a simple sump pump weighing a few kilos that can be used to remove unwanted water from a garden or basement to industrial pumps weighing many hundreds of kilos that can pump thousands of litres an hour.
So whether you need a drainage or sewage pump, a booster set or a specialist pump that can handle chemicals or hot water, we have the solution for you.
The fastest growing area of our business is swimming pool equipment, specifically swimming pool heat pumps. Simon’s knowledge and expertise has helped many of our customers find heating solutions for their pools – a heat pump can save you up to 80% on the cost of heating your pool compared with traditional methods such as gas boilers.
We are now one of the largest pool heat pump stockists in the UK, our new warehouse in Bury St Edmunds has tripled our pallet spaces, this increased stock holding means we are better equipped to respond to seasonal demand – in stock orders placed by 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched same day for delivery all over the UK.
