Above ground pool connection guide
Find the fittings you need to connect our heat pumps and filter sets to the hoses on your above ground pool. Check which hoses your pool has, then find your heat pump or filter set in the table below.
Don’t forget hose clips to hold push fit hoses on their hose tails.

Will my filter pump work with a heat pump?
A heat pump works best with water flowing through it at its nominal flow rate, the rate at which it heats your water most efficiently.
- Too little flow, and it shows an error code and won’t start
- Too much flow, and it heats your water less well, so it takes longer to reach your temperature, or struggles to reach it at all
Ideally, match your filter pump’s flow rate to your heat pump’s nominal flow rate.
A note about PTFE tape
PTFE tape on the threaded connections can crack the threaded sockets on a heat pump or a filter’s multi-port valve, especially if too much is used and the connections are overtightened.
The threaded union sockets we supply usually have a rubber seal, so tape isn’t needed. If you do use it, use as little as possible and don’t overtighten. Damage caused by overtightening isn’t covered by the warranty.
