Product description

The IceSpa 7kW is a plug & play full Inverter heat pump for spas especially designed for cold climates, at -10°C air and 38°C water temperature, heat output is still 3.3kW thanks to the EVI (Enhanced Vapour Injection) compressor. In fact with a COP of 2.2, even at -10°C, the IceSpa is two times cheaper than the electric heater to run.

EVI (Enhanced Vapour Injection) improves the energy efficiency of refrigeration and air conditioning systems by injecting additional vapor into the compressor at low temperatures. It is thanks to this innovative technology that the IceSpa is able to perform so well in extreme weather conditions.

Operating down to -25°C, you can heat up your spa or hot tub in the middle of winter, the Full Inverter technology will reduce your energy consumption up to 75% at an equivalent power consumption compared to an electric heater.

Easy to install, the IceSpa is compatible with all hot tubs and connects itself as easily. Ideal for swim spas and Nordic baths, this heat pump will exceed your expectations.

The IceSpa features Wi-Fi temperature control and a programmable timer using the dedicated Poolex App, available for iOS and Android smart devices. A colour touchscreen that can be detached from the unit (wired) can be added as an option.

What is COP?

COP stands for Coefficient of Performance

COP is quoted as a number, such as 7

For each kW of energy input, 7 x kW would be output

The higher the output, the lower the running costs

Installation

Connections

All models are fitted with a 4m mains cable and RCD plug as standard (please note RCD plug will not fit outdoor sockets with covers).

Water inlet and outlet connections are 1 inch / 32-38mm, two hose tails are supplied as standard, however you may require additional hose and fittings to connect to your spa or hot tub. The IceSpa should be connected after your spa’s circulation pump and heater, the use of a bypass kit (normally made up of 2 x T-pieces and 3 x ball valves) is recommended.

Supplied with RCD mains cable, anti-vibration pads, 2 x 1″ / 32-38mm hose tails, 2 x hose clips and winter cover

The IceSpa heat pump features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity as standard (requires Wi-Fi network with suitable signal strength) and can be controlled from your smartphone. The ‘Smart Life’ App is available for both iOS and Android smartphones.

Your Poolex IceSpa heat pump should always be installed outside, restrictions on air flow around a heat pump such as dense vegetation or solid surfaces such as sheds, fences or walls will lead to a drop in efficiency and heating ability, it especially important that cooled air can be properly dispersed away from the unit.

While the casing provides protection from the weather, the IceSpa should be disconnected and stored in a shed or garage if not in use for extended periods.

First Class Service

Celia Howat (Verified purchase)

My experience with Automated Enviromental Systems has been over a couple of years. The quality of service and products purchased excellent. Whether I seek advice on heat pumps, water pumps, salt, alkaline issues, general pool health this company delivers. I am not technical minded and I have purchased several products from this company after they have discussed what I need... one pool heater to be returned without issue. I cannot thank Simon and various team members on the service, in particular follow up calls. This company comes highly recommended.

Excellent company to deal with

Gail Roberts (organic review)

From beginning to end AES made this easy and kept me informed through out the process. The team that came to clean the drainage chamber did a brilliant job considering the scale of the work required. Excellent company to deal with, great communication and reasonably priced. This will now be my go to company for any drainage requirements I may have.

Good, old-fashioned customer service. You get to speak to a human who is knowledgeable, listens, understands and advises expertly. The kit I bought was exactly what I needed, and recommended by AES.
