What is COP?
COP stands for Coefficient of Performance
COP is quoted as a number, such as 5
For each kW of energy input, 5 x kW would be output
The higher the output, the lower the running costs
Installation
All models are fitted with a mains cable, RCD and plug as standard, making them suitable for outdoor sockets.
Water inlet and outlet connections are 1 inch / 32-38mm, two hose tails are supplied as standard, however you may require additional hose and fittings to connect to your spa or hot tub. The IceSpa should be connected after your spa’s circulation pump and heater, the use of a bypass kit (normally made up of 2 x T-pieces and 3 x ball valves) is recommended.
Supplied with RCD mains cable, anti-vibration pads, 2 x 1″ / 32-38mm hose tails, 2 x hose clips and winter cover
Your Poolex IceSpa heat pump should always be installed outside, restrictions on air flow around a heat pump such as dense vegetation or solid surfaces such as sheds, fences or walls will lead to a drop in efficiency and heating ability, it especially important that cooled air can be properly dispersed away from the unit.
While the casing provides protection from the weather, the IceSpa should be disconnected and stored in a shed or garage if not in use for extended periods.
