Product description
Our IWF float switch is equipped with an Atex-approved microswitch, meeting the low voltage/low current requirements of intrinsically safe systems. This, combined with its internally weighted design and simple installation, ensures reliable and safe operation in hazardous areas.
The Atex approved IWF float switch is a non-mercury version suitable for eco-friendly applications, a micro-switch and rolling ball arrangement eliminates all heavy metals.
These Atex Approved IWF Float Switches (Certificate SIRA 04ATEX2187) may be used in zones 1 and 2 with flammable gases and vapours with apparatus groups IIA, IIB, & IIC and with temperature classes T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 & T6.
The float chamber is totally sealed within closed cell polyurethane foam, with a single pole double throw action. The outer walls of the chamber are coated in Hypalon* CSP Synthetic rubber.
The three-core cable is sheathed in CPE synthetic rubber and available in 10 and 20 metre lengths, and the cable weight (fixed approximately 120mm from the float chamber) is also coated in Hypalon*.
