Automated Environmental Systems (AES), sells and distributes pump solutions to retail, leisure and commercial sectors including clean and waste water pumps, water pressure booster sets and sewage and storm water pumping stations.

From modest beginnings, working from split units, the 13,500 sq ft head office and warehouse is now located all under-one-roof in Bury St. Edmunds and employs 20 people.

We provide preventative maintenance, emergency response breakdown and repairs for sewage and storm water pumping stations. We currently have five, on-the-road specialist engineers, as well as a three-strong in-house technical team.

We are looking for a Pump and Installation Engineer

Ideal candidate

  • Geographical areas: Kent, Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Home Counties
  • Experience working within a pump company
  • Knowledge and experience in pumping stations, sewage treatments plants and booster sets
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Qualifications

  • Electrical (required)
  • Confined Space (desired)
  • CSCS card (desired)
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (desired)

Requirements

  • On-call weekend – 1 in 4 weekends
  • Attend team meetings at Head Office in Bury St. Edmunds approx. 2-4 times per year
  • Possible travel away from local area (overnight accommodation will be provided if deemed necessary)

Remuneration

  • Salary based on 40 hours per week – basic up to £44k depending on experience (plus regular overtime)

  • 21 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays (increasing by 1 day every 2 years to a maximum of 26 days per year plus bank holidays)
