The steam technology of a sauna is based on heating volcanic stones, onto which water is poured, creating a cloud of steam and a dry heat that envelops the body in an intense, gently humid heat (below 25%).
This sensory signature, rooted in the Finnish ritual, offers a gradual rise in temperature, enveloping comfort, and deep relaxation. It transforms every session into an authentic, purifying, and deeply restorative experience.
Moist heat envelops the body, soothing tension and releasing tightness, perspiration opens the pores, deeply purifies the skin, and reveals a brighter, more radiant complexion. Alternating heat and cold by stepping out of the sauna awakens the body’s vital energy and restores vitality.
Lava stones are the key heat-retaining element of a sauna heater. Their durable volcanic structure stores heat and releases it gradually and evenly when water is poured over them. Careful positioning, combined with natural porosity, promotes hot air circulation and optimises water vaporisation (löyly) during pouring.
High-quality stones ensure efficient steam production, stable heat distribution, and enhanced heater durability.
