The Conforto SAM / SA is a close coupled pump with an opened impeller, axial suction and radial top discharge.

The main feature of the SAM / SA pump is the high flow and medium to low discharge head, the opened impeller means they are particularly suited to pumping unclean water containing particles up to 8mm in diameter without damage to the pump.

These pumps are suited to irrigation, industrial and agriculture applications (maximum suction depth 2-3m). Clean and dirty liquids containing solids up to 8mm in diameter with a temperature no greater than 80°C can be pumped.

The SAM / SA is a horizontal axis pump with a bronze (SAM 1C, 1 and 2) or cast iron (SAM 1/A, 2/A, SAM 3 to 9) impeller, the pump body and base are made of G20 cast iron, with a AISI 416 stainless steel shaft and mechanical seal made of ceramic/ graphite.

The pump motor is a closed-type with external cooling fan, IP 44 safety class and F insulation. The single-phase motors are fitted with thermostat controlled safety micro switches, the three-phase motors require external capacitor protection (not supplied).
